BIM is not only a technology, BIM is a process. A process of coordinating and agreeing a multitude of decisions for the construction of complex MEP systems. The impact of these decisions are often not known at the point of contracting and only after coordination is complete. This data, once complete provides the certainty for a range of disciplines – planning, scheduling, change management, cost remeasurement, productivity per area, project progress.
